3: Clause 3, page 3, line 4, at end insert— "(1A) Before making an application for an Academy order, the governing body shall consult relevant parties on whether to make such an application. (1B) The Secretary of State shall issue guidance as to how governing bodies should conduct such a consultation with parents, pupils, teaching and non-teaching staff and their representatives, neighbouring schools and the local authority and such other parties as he may think appropriate; such guidance would also specify the information that should be made available to consultees in relation to the proposed arrangements for Academy status."
