The hon. Gentleman said that the only people who had an advantage under an AV system were the voters. That is not strictly true, is it? The other advantage is felt by very small and often quite extreme political parties, which are peculiarly disadvantaged by the first-past-the-post system. [Interruption.] It is true. The first-past-the-post system is not entirely fair to those parties, and that is one of its virtues, not one of its vices.
