Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) (Amendment) Order 2010

Will the Minister also turn his attention to the fact that we really want the penalties that are being enforced here now to be imposed on the drivers of lorries from other countries? Without proper enforcement action, drivers from the same countries come back again and again and offend. Do the Government have any concrete evidence of what, for example, the Republic of Ireland is doing about lorry road safety? It is not a matter for the Minister, but he presides over the arena in which these offences take place.
