Business Rate Supplements Bill

My Lords, I heard that and I am grateful. The Minister has, I think, confirmed that that sentence, which he has read out again, is intended to represent that they will be fully funded. I am particularly grateful that the Minister recognised that the late tabling of this substantial and complex amendment has raised serious challenges for everybody. I would like to think that we have perhaps dealt with it effectively in this House, but it is my guess that when the Government’s amendment goes back to another place, notwithstanding what the noble Lord, Lord McKenzie, has said, my honourable friends will wish to pursue it further. However, that is for them. It would not be right to spend any more time on it here; there is other business to follow. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 4 withdrawn.
