Planning Bill

Proceeding contribution from Baroness Andrews (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 25 November 2008. It occurred during Debate on bills on Planning Bill.
My Lords, I beg to move that this House do not insist on its Amendment No. 160, to which the Commons have disagreed for their Reason 160A. Lords Amendment No. 160 was considered by the other place on 24 November. The other place disagreed with the amendment on the grounds of financial privilege. Noble Lords will be aware that the Companion to the Standing Orders makes it clear that the Lords do not insist on their amendments when the Commons have disagreed on these grounds. Given this, I ask that the House does not insist on its Amendment No. 160. Moved, That this House do not insist on its Amendment No. 160, to which the Commons have disagreed for their Reason 160A.—(Baroness Andrews.)
