Employment Bill [Lords]

With great respect—and I do have great respect for the hon. Member for North-West Leicestershire (David Taylor)—I do not regard £65 billion as a small sum. I consider it incumbent on any Government to legislate for the minimum amount necessary to ensure that businesses operate properly and employers and employees are treated fairly, and in particular to ensure that employees do not suffer discrimination in the workplace.
