I should like to ask my noble friend if I am right in this supposition. It is not only the learning path that is complex, which children are faced with; it is also the employment path, which is complex and changing. Schools as well as children should be kept abreast of the changes therein. I wonder whether a national careers advisory service might not actually provide links between schools and the needs of the marketplace and employers. What my noble friend recommends might be a valuable asset.
