Planning Bill

Proceeding contribution from Geoffrey Clifton-Brown (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 25 June 2008. It occurred during Debate on bills on Planning Bill.
I do not know why the Secretary of State gives way in such a churlish fashion. The right hon. Lady has just made the important statement to the House that aviation and nuclear decisions will be site-specific. That is, effectively, freezing in aspic from this moment onwards decisions on those sites until the national policy statements are made. Can she tell the House how long she expects the statements to take so that applications on aviation or nuclear sites can be considered by the IPC?
