Dangerous Dogs

Proceeding contribution from Martin Linton (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 12 June 2008. It occurred during Topical debate on Dangerous Dogs.
On Staffordshire bull terriers, does the hon. Gentleman agree that they make good family pets and that there is no reason to discriminate against the breed? Does he disagree with the suggestion from the leader of my local council in Wandsworth that a £500 dog licence should be applied to specific breeds, namely Staffordshire bull terriers?
