War Powers and Treaties

Proceeding contribution from Lord Guthrie of Craigiebank (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 31 January 2008. It occurred during Debate on War Powers and Treaties.
My Lords, I thank all noble Lords who have taken part in the debate. Both the noble Baroness, Lady Williams of Crosby, and the Minister have said that it was a significant and important occasion. It is very good that we have had significant and important contributions from all parts of the House, which I hope will be helpful. I thank the Minister for his response. The Government deserve great credit for continuing to bring this important subject to the fore. I beg leave to withdraw the Motion for Papers. Motion for Papers, by leave, withdrawn.
