Energy Bill

Proceeding contribution from Geoffrey Robinson (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 22 January 2008. It occurred during Debate on bills on Energy Bill.
In a moment. I am mystified as to why we have had so little take-up and so little success—as my hon. Friend the Member for Morley and Rothwell (Colin Challen) must be, too—when the Government have had such good will towards renewable methods. Renewable energy has received a huge subsidy, which has made it far more expensive than gas-fired or coal-fired energy.
