Energy Bill

Proceeding contribution from Alan Duncan (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 22 January 2008. It occurred during Debate on bills on Energy Bill.
I am just finishing. As well as that piece of unfinished business, our main concern, as I have outlined today, is that these policies are neither broad enough nor deep enough to make the vital changes that we now need. We will table a series of amendments today, and we will continue to press the case for the Government to accept more radical suggestions in Committee. If we remain unhappy with the end result, we will be unable to vote with the Government. If they give us an honest and clear picture, we are with them. If they leave anything in doubt, we are not.
