Offender Management Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Garnier (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 18 July 2007. It occurred during Debate on bills on Offender Management Bill.
I have a constituent. In the course of his remarks to the Leicestershire and Rutland probation service, the Minister admitted that the probation service in my county was one of the best. It is probably in the top four, and it may well be the best of all in terms of hitting the targets that the Government have set it. It is therefore highly likely to be one of the first to be required to divert much of its attention, time and money to changing from a board to a trust.
