Statistics and Registration Service Bill

I apologise for pre-empting my noble friend Lord Jenkin of Roding. I have only one thing to add. Competing bodies, if their competition is in ideas, provided that the terms of reference are tightly drawn and the cost is reasonable, might be very good for the democratic process rather than being bad for it. However, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. Clause 52 agreed to. Clauses 53 to 57 agreed to. Schedule 3 agreed to. Clause 58 [Money]: [Amendments Nos. 237 and 238 not moved.]
