Before I decide what to do with my amendments, I ask the Minister to explain why Clause 42(4) states: "““Information disclosed under subsection (1)””—"
that is, information obtained from HMRC— "““may not be disclosed by the Board to any person except with the consent of the Commissioners””."
If I follow the logic of what the Minister has explained about the eighth wonder of the modern world known as data sharing, it rather sits at odds with Clause 42. Can he explain the different approaches in different parts of the Bill?
