120: Clause 25, page 10, line 39, leave out ““as soon as possible thereafter”” and insert ““concurrently””
The noble Lord said: This is a relatively minor amendment but I think it would improve the wording and, possibly, the practice. The board, as we have been hearing, has to lay reports from time to time to this Parliament and to the other Parliaments and Assemblies in the UK. The amendment says that reports should be published, "““as soon as possible thereafter””."
Given that we have the internet, there seems no reason why it should not be published, literally, at the same time. Therefore, ““concurrently”” would be more helpful than the more ambiguous, "““as soon as possible thereafter””."
