Statistics and Registration Service Bill

I thank the hon. Gentleman for that correction. If the code has been complied with, it ““must”” designate them as national statistics, but"““otherwise it must decline so to designate them.””" Am I right in thinking that if a statistic is declined for designation as a national statistic, it is downgraded to an official statistic, and that it is then up to Ministers to decide whether it is put forward again for consideration as a national statistic? Will the Minister confirm that the ministerial veto still exists in these cases, and that the board will not have the power to compel Ministers to put such a statistic forward for such consideration, even though it might previously have been a national statistic?
