Electoral System

Proceeding contribution from Simon Hughes (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Monday, 26 February 2007. It occurred during Opposition day on Electoral System.
Like the hon. Gentleman, I represent a broad community, which includes post offices, and I think that his comments are inappropriate. The only way to deal with such matters is to do as I have always done, which is to use the Post Office complaints procedure. I have never received such complaints made from a party political basis, but any allegation that a postal worker has done something wrong should go through the proper complaints structure. The hon. Gentleman should use that process and only if some real substance is found should he bring the matter here.
