Electoral System

Proceeding contribution from Bridget Prentice (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 26 February 2007. It occurred during Opposition day on Electoral System.
My hon. Friend makes the point extremely well. In the last six years, there have been 25,000-plus elections throughout the country, but, as he points out, there have been only a handful of cases in which electoral fraud was petitioned—never mind cases that were taken up by the Crown Prosecution Service and seen through to conviction.
