My hon. Friend makes the point extremely well. In the last six years, there have been 25,000-plus elections throughout the country, but, as he points out, there have been only a handful of cases in which electoral fraud was petitioned—never mind cases that were taken up by the Crown Prosecution Service and seen through to conviction.
