Legal Services Bill [HL]

I will look at that. The noble Lord, Lord Campbell of Alloway, is right; it is important that the board is able to take account of that in its work. I will need to think about where that fits in with regard to legislation, good practice, rules or whatever, but I would expect there to be the opportunity for those who feel strongly in all directions to be able to put forward their views. With regard to the regulatory objectives, there would have to be the opportunity to look at that in the right and appropriate way. I am committed to making sure that this is reinforced. I apologise if I used the wrong word. It was not meant to imply anything. There is an issue of priority, though, which would be the effect of the amendment. We need to think about that carefully.
