I have listened very carefully, but I am still a little perplexed. The Minister did not respond to my question on subsection (7) about why in open court the court has to give its reasons, but in a magistrates’ court the reasons are simply entered on the register. If it is not possible for the Minister to give an explanation now, perhaps I could receive one later.
