I admire my hon. Friend for making this very important point about centres of academic and scientific excellence. Did not the hon. Member for South Dorset (Jim Knight), who used to be the Minister with responsibility for biodiversity, himself write to the Prime Minister pointing out that the closure of one such centre in Dorset would be a strategic error? Notwithstanding the fact that the hon. Gentleman has been promoted, is it not ominous that he has been promoted out of DEFRA and away from his biodiversity commitments? So one guardian of biodiversity and the fight against climate change—
