Health Bill

Proceeding contribution from Earl Howe (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 15 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Health Bill.
Before the noble Baroness decides what to do with her amendment, I thank the Minister for what he said. He will realise that it was not that I was questioning the inclusion of management issues in the code; far from it. Having read the code, I realise that it is full of management-related issues. My concern was that the Bill might not provide a broad enough definition of healthcare. That is a technical point; it was a hook on which I was also able to hang a number of other points. I am grateful for his response.
