I have one question for the Minister to clarify. The word ““childcare”” in this context is extremely imprecise; it is like a sort of homogenised cheese. In fact, looking after a three month-old child and looking after a four years and three months-old child are as different as chalk and cheese. Could the noble Baroness show how the costs and the arrangements will relate to the different costs of coping with different ages and different kinds of children?
