I thank the Minister for her detailed reply. I think that this issue will probably wrap itself up eventually into the whole discussion of what can be done with the register and to whom it is correct to give access. I know that we have discussed the matter in the past, but it needs discussing here as well. The whole question of the DVLA sale has caused tremendous ripples, and we must be sure that we address the anxiety that has been raised by that and by the commercial use of people’s names on a register that they have to be on, if they want to do one of two things—to drive, on the DVLA register, or to vote, in this case. We must ensure that, because of that requirement, they are not then put at inconvenience or jeopardy as a result of some of the commercial uses of the names on the register.
