I absolutely agree. Having the county council elections on the same day as the general election last year meant that there was a better turnout for the county council elections. I want people to vote when they visit the polling station and not to be confused. I hear what the Minister has said. She will agree that we need people to understand what they are doing. I still believe that two systems are enough to try to get over on one day. I was not suggesting that we change either system, whatever the merits of them. We may return to this point. The Government obviously agree that people need to understand what they are doing, but there is a simple question of how we can achieve that. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
Clause 38 agreed to.
