I shall not speak to the two pieces of legislation referred to by the noble Lord because I hope to make him a happier man than I did on Thursday. Since our discussion, we have been considering whether Clause 1 should be extended to cover either specific statutory duties—the noble Lord has pointed to two important ones—or statutory duties in general.
I see that my noble friend has brought us some mince pies.
