Again, first, that question is encouraging me to say something that is not within my power to say. Secondly—here, I stand to be corrected at a later date—my impression is that the Bill has the complete support of the Assembly. Obviously, the Bill started in Wales and we are now looking at the British Government’s response to it, which is very encouraging. In the light of all the discussions that we always have in the House of Lords about Assembly matters, there is a very strong feeling that we are supporting the Assembly in this endeavour and we are right behind this Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill. Although I am not answering my noble friend’s question directly, I suspect that the Assembly would agree with the position I have taken in responding to the amendment.
