The answer to the noble Lord, Lord Roberts of Conwy, is that we have no legislation in mind at the moment for this Session. That was simply put into the speaking notes as a protective device, but there is nothing behind it. The words on the page as read by me have no significance at all in terms of any further legislation coming in.
My noble friend Lord Rowlands asked about what would happen to that clause if the amendments were made. The clause would stand and the intention of the amendment is to reflect the policy that the Information Commissioner, as a permitted person in government, should be able to share information with the commissioner, just as the commissioner is enabled to disclose information to the Information Commissioner as a result of government Amendment No. 101. The effect of the amendment is to insert the Commissioner for Older People for Wales into the relevant table within the Freedom of Information Act so that he or she is listed as a person with whom the Information Commissioner can share information.
On Question, amendment agreed to.
