NHS Redress Bill [HL]

I thank the Minister for his reply. Before I withdraw the amendment, I should still like to ask about the sense of urgency. I accept that it is conventional to put such measures into subordinate legislation, but there is a real issue about the sense of urgency in dealing with investigations, just as we have seen with complaints—and just as we have seen it as a major difficulty with dealing with complaints. We know that within the NHS it is commonplace to leave things to lie as long as possible. If the Minister felt able to give me an assurance that when the subordinate legislation is drafted there will be a sense of urgency, and that in the review that takes place later there will also be a sense that things must move along at a fair pace, I should be much happier.
