Equality Bill [Lords]

The hon. Gentleman raises a very good point to which I will return. There is an educational element to gender segregation which is not covered in the Bill. I turn to the budgetary implications. The existing budget is approximately £50 million and the new one is estimated to be £70 million. It is very difficult for us in this place to comment on whether that is the right amount. It has been interesting to hear the comments of Conservatives; every single agency that I spoke to insisted that a lot more money was needed.
