Commons Bill [HL]

I think that those who typeset Amendment No. 164 anticipated how my noble friend Lord Greaves and the noble Earl, Lord Peel, feel about bracken. The verb ““to hector”” means to nag or aggravate, which is what they were describing. For the sake of accuracy, should the Government want to accept the amendment, it should read, ““requiring the removal of the specified hectarage””—spelt with an ““a””—““of bracken every year””.
