The answer is ““Yes””, but I do not have the precise data. I thought that the background historical data might be of interest to the noble Baroness and to the Committee generally.
As I said, I am grateful to the noble Lord, Lord Goodhart, for his support for the principle. We are not discussing matters relating to extradition treaties with other nations this afternoon. I agree with the noble Lord: it is highly desirable that there be acceptable standards of procedure throughout the EU. That is a laudable approach and one that we find ourselves in agreement with in spirit.
I have nothing else that I can usefully add by way of advice to the Committee on the order. I am grateful for the time and consideration given, and I trust that, in due course, the order will be approved by the House.
On Question, Motion agreed to.
