I am becoming very concerned that this discussion on my amendment is not the discussion which I thought we would have. This is not about the rationale for lorries to go faster so that they reach their destination quicker and enable a little more business to be done. This discussion is about the frustration of drivers travelling behind lorries who cannot get past them, and the road safety implications of frustrated drivers trying to overtake lorries. If those lorries were travelling about 10 miles faster, the drivers would probably just sit it out.
