Question

asked Her Majesty's Government:Further to the statement by Lord Davies of Oldham on 21 June (HL Deb, cols. 404–5), whether they support measures to enable members of the public to bring complaints of maladministration by the Executive directly to the Parliamentary Ombudsman.

Answer

The Government remain of the view that complaints to the Parliamentary Ombudsman should be channelled through a Member of Parliament.
