Children and Social Work Bill (HL) 2016-17

The Speaker has certified, for the purposes of Standing Order No. 83L, and on the basis of material put before him, that, in his opinion: Clauses 8 and 9 of the Children and Social Work Bill [Lords] as amended in the public bill committee (Bill 121) relate exclusively to England and Wales and are within devolved legislative competence, as defined in Standing Order No. 83J; Clauses 1 to 7, 11 to 31 and 41 to 67 of the Children and Social Work Bill [Lords] as amended in the public bill committee (Bill 121), New Clauses NC15, NC16, NC17 and NC18 added on Report and Schedules 2 to 4 to the Bill as amended in the public bill committee (Bill 121) relate exclusively to England and are within devolved legislative competence, as defined in Standing Order No. 83J; and For the purposes of Standing Order No. 83L(4), and on the basis of material put before him, the Speaker has certified that, in his opinion, the following amendment made to the Bill since Second Reading relates exclusively to England and Wales: Amendment 13 made in the public bill committee to Clause 62 of the Bill as introduced (Bill 99), which resulted in there being no certification of Clause 58 of the Bill as introduced (Bill 99) (now Clause 68 of the Bill as amended in the public bill committee (Bill 121)) which was certified at Second Reading as relating exclusively to England and Wales.
