Standing Orders Committee
(1) The Chairman of Ways and Means reported from the Standing Orders Committee that it had resolved, in respect of the City of London Corporation (Open Spaces) Bill:
That Standing Order 39 (Deposit of copies of bills) ought to be dispensed with on the following condition:
That, notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 171A relating to the last day on which a petition shall be presented, the Promoters re-advertise the petitioning period so that the time limit is extended (that is to 15 February 2016) to compensate for the 13 day delay in depositing copies of the Bill with the Charity Commission, the Department for Education, the Office for Civil Society and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. The Resolution was agreed to.
(2) Ordered, That the Standing Orders Committee have leave to report evidence taken this day on the City of London Corporation (Open Spaces) Bill.
(3) The Chairman of Ways and Means reported evidence taken before the Standing Orders Committee on the City of London Corporation (Open Spaces) Bill. Evidence to be published.
